Job title: Business Development Manager Location: Remote and Cardiff Day Office

The Company

Compariqo is an insurance intermediary focused on the residential construction industry throughout the UK. The business predominantly sells 10-year structural defects insurance (structural warranties) to developers, builders and contractors, sourcing the most appropriate level of cover from a panel of providers, ultimately providing greater choice and transparency to the customer.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated Business Development Manager to join a highly driven, commission-focused sales team. You will be responsible for prospecting, and developing strong relationships with builders, developers and introducers, offering attractive terms and information relating to the different insurance products available.

This is an ideal time for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join our young and flourishing company at an entry level position. With uncapped commission, and promotion potential, we are looking for aspirational individuals eager to immerse themselves and obtain career development.

The Role

Your main responsibilities will encompass:

  • Engaging in targeted prospecting to unearth potential business opportunities;
  • Building foundational knowledge of the market, industry trends, and competitor activities;
  • Supporting the sales team in implementing strategic sales plans and achieving revenue goals;
  • Assisting in the development and execution of promotional activates and lead generations campaigns
  • Providing top-notch customer service to ensure client satisfaction and foster long term relationships
  • Participating in negotiations and learning how to close business effectively
  • Consistently striving to meet or exceed predefined sales targets and performance metrics
  • Maintaining accurate records of all sales activates, client communications, and opportunities in the CRM system
  • Representing innovative solutions at industry events, conferences and network gatherings.
Desired Skills & Experience of a Business Development Manager

Ideally you would have previous experience in a customer facing or sales role and be used to a target driven environment.

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage in negotiations
  • Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Self-motivation with a robust drive to succeed and achieve
  • A good understanding of CRM systems, MS Office and other relevant software
  • Resilience, a competitive spirit and a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.

Basic Salary: £25,000+ (negotiable depending on experience and proven track record).

Uncapped earnings potential with commissions payable monthly.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide exceptional technical support to our internal staff, ensuring their technology needs are met efficiently. You will also have the exciting opportunity to delve into the world of insurance and contribute to process improvements through Salesforce automation as we continue our efforts to provide innovative solutions to the market.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line technical support to staff, resolving issues related to hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, implementing solutions independently or by escalating to senior IT personnel when necessary.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions.
  • Maintain the company IT handbook, building new user guides as new products and features become available to the team.
  • Proactively monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless technology operations.
  • Learn and utilise the Salesforce CRM platform and the products therein to develop and implement automations for improved efficiency and data management.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent certification.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software principles including SDLC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users being a critical skill.
  • Adept problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experience with CRM/ERP systems desirable.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience working in the insurance industry.
  • Experience in a technical support role is desirable
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
  • Programming experience is a plus.
