Start-ups like Automated Architecture (AUAR) are exploring the use of robotics to revolutionise home construction. By employing robotic arms to assemble timber houses, AUAR aims to reduce costs and reliance on manual labour. However, widespread adoption of such technologies faces hurdles due to the industry’s traditional resistance to change.

The convergence of labor shortages, rising costs, and corporate instability presents a formidable challenge to the UK’s housing ambitions.
